Drill Operator




  • Operation of drilling and bore equipment for the installation of conduit
  • Interpretation of plans, diagrams and locates
  • Mechanically inclined with equipment
  • Knowledge of working in different soil conditions with varied weather conditions
  • Accurate and timely completion of work
  • Strict Adherence to Health & Safety standards
  • Communicate with team members on preparation and project coordination
  • Report any project delays to supervisor
  • Daily safety inspection of all equipment and tools
  • Observe equipment maintenance schedule and advise supervisor when repairs required


  • Minimum 2-3 year field experience and/or graduate for The Resource Drilling Program
  • Ditch witch experience is an asset
  • Basic -mid level knowledge of telecom and fibre optic installation
  • Must be in good physical condition
  • MUST have a minimum three years documented experience operating a similar vehicle.
  • Clear driver’s abstracts – perfect condition
  • Valid AZ driver’s license is an asset, must have valid G license
  • Powerline hazard awareness training
  • Transportation of dangerous goods training is an asset
  • CSTS – Construction safety certificate is an asset
  • Current First Aid Certification is an asset


  • Work outdoors – perhaps in some extreme climates
  • Excavation around existing utilities
  • Travel and work in various locations across Ontario
  • Accommodate different work schedules and shifts based on project requirements
  • Perform physically demanding work (able to lift 50+ pounds)
  • Be honest, hard-working and trustworthy
